I finally went ahead and committed to creating a web site for my photography. I was torn between a site that does most of the work for you but is limited in flexibility or one that is bare bones and requires the user to do some actual html code development but for that reason is limiteless in what one can do (if one is willing to do the work). I opted for the former approach and went with zenfolio. I did so because it was quick and easy and cost competitive with the ones that required more sweat equity. Still, as I pressed ahead and then had to decide among the various templates for the pages, none of which were exactly what I wanted, I wished I could tweak them like I would have been able to do were I coding them from scratch. But then, the site would still be under construction months from now rather than ready to view on day 1. Heck, I've even got this silly blog posting out on day 1. There's something to be said for letting others do the heavy lifting.
